P.J. Washington is due for a payday this off-season. Right now, that deal looks to be around 20 million a year for at least 4 years, which next to Gordan Hayward, Terry Rozier, (soon to be) Lamelo Ball, and potentially the return of Kelly Oubre, our books would be completely locked in for years to come. It is of my belief that the Hornets should look towards other options to replace P.J, rather than give him his money. But, under no circumstances, should we let him just walk. We need some sort of return on value, which is why we should look towards sign and trade options. Behind our draft decision at pick 2, I strongly believe this is our biggest decision of the off-season, and may drastically effect this teams plans of contention for years to come. With this in mind, I propose a few options from around the league that I think the Hornets should strongly consider.
