The Brandon-Podziemski-led Golden State Warriors have trumped the the Hornets by 15 points, as the Hornets slump to 0-2 in the California Classic.
Amari Bailey, the 41st overall pick, shone for the Hornets, notching 17 points and 4 rebounds on efficient shooting.
2nd overall pick Brandon Miller had another poor showing, managing just 6 points and 4 rebounds, whilst racking up 4 turnovers and 8 fouls. In an (unfortunately) rare bright spot, he did show his 'great playmaking upside' that was so highly touted during his pre-draft process, ending the game with 7 assists.
For the Warriors, it was Lester Quinones and Brandon Podziemski, the 19th overall pick, who finnished the game with 17 and 21 points respectively.
For the Hornets, they look towards the beginning of the Las Vegas Summer League, where in less than 48 hours they get their do-over against the Spurs, this time with Victor Wembenyama, who defeated them earlier this week by a whopping 19 points.
